CRL RTV408 Industrial and Construction Silicone is a neutral cure, medium modulus, 100% Silicone Sealant that cures to a tough, flexible rubber when exposed to moisture. RTV408 features primerless adhesion to: aluminum, stainless steel, most plastics, rigid PVC (vinyl), phenolic resin, glass, ceramic, and most reflective-coated glasses. All surfaces must be properly cleaned and the sealant tooled for good adhesion.

BASIC USES: Its fast cure time and easy tooling make it ideal for many in-house production applications; and it is non-corrosive to most building materials such as glass (including insulating glass), tiles, and sanitary equipment. It seals curtainwall joints; vinyl, steel and aluminum windows; and skylights. It is also used in vehicles, ships, aircraft, as well as for electrical insulation. This silicone does not cause corrosion in contact with metals. It is suitable for alkaline materials such as mortar and cement, and other applications where metal corrosion could be a problem. CRL RTV408 stays flexible and is resistant to cracking or becoming brittle in a wide range of temperatures approximately -65° to 400°F (-54° to 204°C). It can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as -20°F (-29°C), provided that surfaces are clean, dry and frost-free, or on surfaces as high as 100°F (38°C).
